I'm Sorry, Did You Say Caturday?

OK, so I admit I'm a little out of touch with some things.  I try to stay up with acceptable current fashion for boys (outside of Old Navy commercials), I surf the internet, troll Facebook, and listen to what my boys talk about, but somehow I missed "Caturday".

And I'm a cat lover.

My husband, resident dog lover, actually told me about it because somebody posted on his Facebook page about it along with funny pictures of cats.

We have few friends in common outside of family, because he is from Massachusetts and I'm from Louisiana.

I don't think I've seen my friends posting about it and they have cats as well as dogs...

There are jokes that 4chan should have copyrighted the term.  Was that the first person to come up with this word to describe a day devoted to the posting of all things cat?  I really don't know that answer, but I still keep asking:

How have I not heard of this?

So do I succumb to peer pressure at my age and start the posting of cat pictures every Saturday?  Well, normally I'd shout, "Heck yeah!", but actually I post cat pictures all the time anyway so does it really matter?

Well, it's new to me and I guess I'll have to start finding other outlets to see what's trending.  Something geared towards a crowd twenty years younger than me because I keep missing all the good stuff and only my sixteen year old fills me in on trends.

And he doesn't tell me everything, just what he remembers when he is reminded by something silly I do.

Wait, that's actually quite often now that I think about it.  I may have to go wake him and have a chat....

For any other out-of-touchers, I Googled 4chan:

"4chan is a simple image-based bulletin board where anyone can post comments and share images. There are boards dedicated to a variety of topics, from Japanese animation and culture to videogames, music, and photography. Users do not need to register an account before participating in the community. Feel free to click on a board that interests you and jump right in!"

I guess I have a lot left to learn as well as some more cat pictures to look up....

Oh and speaking of cats, our own Brady won Cuddle Champ at Petside's photo contest:  Brady
